Within walking distance is the famous Carrick a Rede rope bridge which spans a chasm some 80 feet between the mainland and the island. You can also walk from here back to Ballintoy harbour by the cliff path.

Again within walking distance from Ballintoy harbour is Whitepark Bay, one of the most picturesque bays in Ireland.  It also has its own residents in the form of cows which help to maintain vecosystem of the dunes but also enjoy lying on the beach.

Less than ten minutes by car will bring you to the Unesco World Heritage site of the Giant's Causeway. A spectacular expanse of hexagonal columns and stunning cliff path walks. You can if you like long walks, walk from here back to Ballintoy harbour via the cliff path.
